The HandyPROBE arm-free measuring system, powered by the C-Track 780 dual-camera sensor uses the powerful combination of advanced photogrammetry and high speed digital image processing to provide a unique, high accuracy, 3D measuring system, for use in the measuring room or directly on the production line.

Handheld, Portable Measurement
The 100% portability of the HandyPROBE makes it possible to inspect, reverse engineer or perform CAD analysis on parts in situ, without the need to bring them to the measuring room. As the device is armless, and data transmission is wireless, the user can move around the part freely. A lack of moving parts removes the possibility of mechanical wear and expensive maintenance costs.
Automatic Alignment
The user can select from 2 types of alignment setup - dynamic or static. In dynamic mode, the part can be moved during the measurement process, without any realignment necessary. This offers the user greater flexibility and increases the quality of the measurement data. Automatic alignment also enables the measuring volume to be extended without the need for unreliable leapfrog methods. No probing is necessary to re-align the part after it has been moved.
Easy To Use
Using the HandyPROBE couldn't be easier. Setup takes less than 5 minutes, so that the system is ready to use almost immediately. The HandyPROBE interfaces with most measuring software applications, including market leading products such as m-Log XG and Metrolog XG, so the system can be used by anyone familiar with a measuring arm or a CMM.
The system also automatically detects when calibration is required. A simple 5-minute calibration process is all that is required to re-calibrate the complete measuring system, completely removing the need for the system to be returned to the factory for regular calibration. The calibration process can be carried out by the user before measurement starts.
Large Measuring Volume
The C-Track 780 dual-camera sensor tracks the HandyPROBE in real-time, ensuring accurate position measurement of the probe stylus. The large measuring volume of almost 8 cubic metres means the system can tackle measuring tasks from small mechanical components right up to a complete vehicle body.
The HandyPROBE deals with large parts that cannot be measured with a fixed measuring arm, but is also mobile and versatile enough to be quicker and easier to use than a laser tracker - the perfect 3D inspection solution.
