Kreon Laser Scanners
Kreon
have been the World leaders in developing laser line scanning solutions for use
with portable measuring arms and CMM's, combining the latest high speed non-contact
laser measuring technology with the ability to work on a multitude of measuring
devices.
The all-new Kreon SOLANO scanner/arm combination has been developed to provide plug-and-play functionality to users with a choice of solutions - either a lightweight, high speed scanner for use on an existing arm, or as a complete scanner/arm combination. Both solutions provide a cost-effective, high performance scanning solution, suitable for use on a variety of measuring applications.
The 100mm wide scan line can produce up to 40,000 pts/second with a repeatability of 25 microns, yet the SOLANO scanner weighs less than 400g. Like all previous Kreon scanners, the head is positioned "in-line" with the arm system and can include an integrated hard probe for seamless contact probing, alleviating the problems of bulky laser heads or contact probes that are offset from the arm's measuring axis.
The system is incredibly easy to use, providing fast and accurate scan data. The all-inclusive packages provide reverse engineering and inspection capabilities, with a range of user-friendly software solutions available to enable users to quickly select the ideal tool for the job at hand.
Whether you are looking for a high performance scanner to use with your existing arm, or you need a complete scanner / arm solution, the Kreon SOLANO combination offers outstanding price / performance ratios.
Kreon Zephyr Scanners
Designed for use on either a portable measuring arm or on a fixed bed CMM, the Kreon Zephyr fully incorporates a standard Renishaw touch probe facility, providing increased precision and optimised, high speed measurement. Full integration with m-Log XG and Metrolog XG software provides the ability to measure a component using both contact and non-contact methods within a single software solution, removing the need for post-processing using different software systems. This fully optimises measuring time and productivity providing a real competitive advantage, especially as full compatibility with all portable measuring arms plus Renishaw probing systems (e.g. PH10, MIH) ensures universal connectivity to all types of measuring machines.
The range of Kreon Zephyr scanners comprises 3 different models, according to the type of scanning tasks to be undertaken ;
|
|
KZ25 : dedicated to detail oriented, high accuracy applications, the KZ25 is ideally suited for use on a fixed bed CMM |
|
|
KZ50 : a flexible solution capable of reverse engineering and inspection challenges, the KZ50 can easily be used on portable arms and fixed bed CMM's |
|
|
KZ100 : makes scanning large volume parts a simple and easy task by utilising a 100mm wide laser scan line for rapid data acquisition. |

KZ25 - high accuracy/detail applications KZ50 - CMM or portable arms KZ100 - large volume applications
The Zephyr range of scanners can collect 30,000 points per second, with a resolution and repeatability of <15
mm. Weighing only 360 grams, the scanners are suitable for use with all types of CMM or portable arm, making them ideal for a vast range of applications including reverse engineering, 3D inspection, CAD surface comparison, turbine blade inspection, crash testing, etc.
Kreon Aquilon Scanner
The new Aquilon scanner is the World's fastest laser scanning system, dedicated to high accuracy measuring and scanning applications. Capable of up to 1 million points per second and an accuracy of 5
mm, Aquilon sets a new standard in laser scanning capabilities.Like all Kreon scanners, Aquilon incorporates a fully integrated Renishaw touch probe and PH10 probe head interface. This ensures that Aquilon is ready to use on almost any make or model of CMM, providing any CMM user with the most advanced scanning capability available on the market.
