Until now, maintaining high accuracy 3D scanning of large objects, such as complete vehicles or an entire aircraft, has been a challenge for any scanning system. The all-new MAXscan is the newest addition to the Handyscan3D family of portable laser scanning solutions, specifically designed to deal with large scale scanning applications by combining the class leading scanning of the Handyscan3D range with highly advanced photogrammetry optimisation capabilities.

Extended lengths. Large surfaces. Bulky objects. None of these are an issue any longer, thanks to the MAXscan. The new laser scanner has been designed for a sole purpose - to bring large part data acquisition to the MAXimum level of accuracy with a fully integrated 2-in-1 device.

Thanks to a built-in photogrammetry solution, developed by the World's leading photogrammetry provider Aicon 3D Systems, the scanner offers the highest accuracy in it's class for 3D scanning of large parts. Unlike scanning devices that depend on measuring arms or CMM's that require accuracy losing leapfrog methods, the MAXscan's process involves a single setup and rapid data acquisition with extremely reliable and high precision.

The built-in solution facilitates and quickens the measuring process required for large objects, as the working volume of the system is almost limitless and highly configurable - no job is too big for MAXscan.

The MAXscan system is like all other Handyscan3D products - it fits into a small carrying case, making it highly portable and suitable for use in all locations, inside or out. As no external tracking device is needed, the user can move freely around the part with absolutely no restrictions.
