Measurement Solutions Ltd Appointed UK Distributor for READY Shopfloor Metrology Brand
Measurement Solutions Ltd (MSL) has been officially appointed as an authorised UK distributor for the READY shopfloor metrology brand, manufactured at the Coord3 production facility in Italy.
The agreement expands MSL’s portfolio into production-focused Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and CT inspection systems designed specifically for use directly within manufacturing environments, combining speed, simplicity, and robustness for real-world shopfloor conditions.
Commenting on the agreement, Andrew Tagg, Managing Director of Measurement Solutions Ltd, said:
“READY fits perfectly with where manufacturing is heading. Quality control can no longer sit downstream in a controlled lab environment; it needs to be embedded directly into production.
What impressed us most was the simplicity of the platform. For example, there is no requirement for an air supply, and the setup of a new machine takes under 2 hours. The fully touch-driven interface makes it genuinely usable on the shop floor, without the complexity traditionally associated with CMM systems.
The CMM will be offered to the UK market, combined with automation and robotic tending. This gives UK manufacturers a practical route to faster inspection, improved repeatability, and better production throughput.”
Shopfloor CMM Designed for Production
The READY RUN series has been engineered to deliver quality control without the complexity traditionally associated with laboratory-based CMM systems.
Unlike conventional CMM platforms that require specialist programming and experienced metrology operators, READY is designed for intuitive, production-level use.
Key features include:
- Portal bridge structure for improved rigidity and vibration resistance
- Fixed portal design for long-term stability and accuracy retention
- Prismatic guideways (no air bearings), no clean room requirement
- Linear motors for high-speed movement and minimal maintenance
- Full front table extraction for ergonomic manual loading and simplified robot integration
- Independent X and Y axes for improved thermal compensation
- A fully integrated 100% touch-screen interface with CAD import included and DMIS compatibility
The touchscreen-driven interface enables operators to:
- Import CAD files directly
- Run inspection routines with minimal setup
- Measure free-form and prismatic components
- Generate results quickly without complex programming
The result is a system that can be operated confidently on the shop floor, reducing reliance on dedicated metrology specialists while maintaining high levels of repeatability and accuracy.
Automation-Ready Inspection Cells
The RUN platform has been developed with automation in mind. Its front-extraction table and fixed portal architecture simplify robot loading while maintaining safe separation between loading and measuring zones.
This makes it particularly suited to automated production cells where reducing manual handling, increasing repeatability, and improving throughput are critical.
MSL will integrate the READY CMM with a machine-tending robot system to demonstrate how shopfloor inspection can be embedded within production rather than positioned downstream as a standalone quality function.
Production CT Capability Now Available
Under the agreement, MSL is also authorised to discuss and supply the READY CoreX shopfloor CT systems.
Unlike traditional laboratory CT systems requiring specialist configuration, CoreX is optimised for defined production segments with fixed, application-focused configurations. With scan times measured in seconds rather than minutes, the system enables:
- Internal porosity detection
- Assembly verification
- Multi-material inspection
- Reverse engineering
- High-frequency production validation
UK customers can submit components for evaluation at the manufacturer’s facility, with site visits arranged where appropriate.
Live Demonstration at MACH 2026
MSL will officially debut the READY shopfloor CMM solution at MACH 2026 (Stand 19-640) as part of its Industrial Metrology & Automation showcase.
Visitors will see how automated CMM inspection, CT scanning capability, and robotic integration can be deployed directly within production environments to reduce bottlenecks, improve consistency, and increase machine utilisation.
The addition of READY strengthens MSL’s position as a provider of practical, industry-focused metrology and digital manufacturing solutions for UK manufacturers.
