The MetraSCAN 3D family has been developed to deliver fast, accurate and reliable 3D measurement in real manufacturing environments. Combining a handheld scanner with the C-Track optical tracking system, MetraSCAN enables manufacturers to inspect parts directly on the shop floor without compromising metrology-grade accuracy.
Unlike traditional measurement systems, MetraSCAN is insensitive to vibration, temperature changes and part movement, allowing quality teams to inspect everything from precision-machined components to large assemblies where they are produced. The MetraSCAN 3D family uses advanced blue laser technology to capture accurate data from a wide range of surface finishes, including reflective and shiny materials, with little or no surface preparation required. This helps reduce inspection time while maintaining high-quality scan data across demanding applications.
The new MetraSCAN BLACK2 increases productivity further with 46 blue laser lines, enabling faster data capture and more efficient inspection of large or complex components.
