Creaform is renowned for the portable, reliable and very easy-to-use technologies it designs. In concrete terms, the combined solution of the new MaxSHOT 3D photogrammetric video camera + the VXshot processing software stands out from other systems because it is so easy to use.
The user-friendly design allows even those completely new to photogrammetry to quickly and easily generate a high accuracy positioning model of an object based on a series of photos. There are no complicated cameras to handle or manipulate, so you don’t need to be a photographic expert.
In addition, the software is really easy to use, so you don’t need a degree in astro-physics to understand what you are doing. MaxSHOT 3D is designed to make photogrammetry as simple as possible, yet accurate and error free.
Simple Workflow
The scale bars provided in the measurement volume allow for model scaling to ensure high accuracy is maintained at all times. Once the calculations are complete, the Creaform products such as HandySCAN 3D, HandyPROBE or MetraSCAN 3D can be automatically positioned within the measuring volume relative to the object to be measured.
- Target – Place a few coded targets either on the object to be measured or in its environment
- Sequence – Follow the user-guided software sequence
- go/nogo – Use the laser projected “go/nogo” assistance to take several blocks of good quality photos, right first time without guess work
- Quality check – Launch the fully automated bundle adjustment process (image triangulation) to check the quality of the measurement – don’t worry, the software does it all for you
- Utilise – Use the reference data set with your Creaform HandySCAN 3D, HandyPROBE and MetraSCAN 3D
High Accuracy
By using MaxSHOT 3D in conjunction with other Creaform products, significant increases in the measuring range and volumetric accuracy of your portable CMM or scanner can be achieved. The maximum error when using MaxSHOT 3D Next is equivalent to 0.015mm/metre (average error as little as 0.005mm/metre), which combined with other Creaform products gives significant improvements in volumetric accuracy.
